As a recent graduate, I feel very fortunate to work alongside some of the industry’s leading professionals in innovation. I love working as a UX Engineer in Modern Democracy because I get to work on improving people’s lives through technology.  My job is to focus on people and making their experience of our products the best it can be, which is incredibly rewarding. If that is not motivation, I don’t know what is!

I work closely with a combination of designers, software engineers, product managers, project managers, quality assurance, creative leads, business stakeholders and so on. This daily interaction makes my job really pleasurable.

It’s not all work and no play! Recently we had our Staff Away day which we all thoroughly enjoyed 🙂

Open Engineering & Technical Positions You will play a crucial role in helping to design and develop our next generation Modern™ platform. You will get hands-on experience using the latest cloud technologies (including Serverless), operating at scale and building systems with multiple levels of redundancy. You will take an active role in everything we do, from product management, requirement definition, sprint planning, testing, deploying production ready software and engaging with our customers.
  • Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable success managing the delivering of technology-based projects using agile methodology.
  • Substantial experience in managing and leading project teams
  • Evidence of developing and managing sound client-supplier relationships
  • Broad technology experience, awareness of current technology trends and a sound understanding of contemporary software engineering practices.
  • Evidence of taking responsibility for contract and commercial terms on projects.
  • Experience of adhering to robust project governance and technical quality standards.
  • Strong ability to make reasoned decisions under pressure taking a balanced view of client demands, the company’s commercial interests and the impact on the team.
  • Experience of project delivery aimed at digital transformation. (Desirable)
  • Experience of user research, analytics and design disciplines and their contribution to the effective delivery of digital services and platforms. (Desirable)
  • Evidence of innovating or leading initiatives to improve management and leadership practices within an organisation. (Desirable)

Open Sales Positions

  • Significant experience in new business sales, preferably to the Private Sector
  • Experience of successfully selling IT services/solutions (not exclusively software)
  • Experience of successfully running competitive procurements
  • Experience of business development/sales processes, including the use of pilots, pre-sales, demonstrations, etc
  • Demonstrable understanding of the application development life cycle from envisioning to solution implementation to managed services.
  • Strong strategic account planning, reporting and co-ordinating skills, knowing how and when to draw on pre-sales support and other assistance from within the team
  • A clear and demonstrable track record of sales
